Five podcasts to inspire hope

This will be my third podcast round-up on the blog so far, and I think that just goes to show what a growing medium it is. Listening to podcasts has opened up a whole new world of content consumption for me.

When I hear myself talking about podcasts to people who haven’t listened to them, I feel a little like a religious leader, trying to get them to join me and praying to the God of pods. Anyway, I digress.

For this round up I wanted to introduce you to some brilliant podcasts that make me feel inspired in one way or another.

So, let’s get started shall we?

What she said

A podcast for creatives and bloggers, What she said is my current go-to when I want to feel like I’m having coffee with smart women who ‘get me’. Lucy (from Wanderluce) covers so many great topics and interviews some of my favourite people on the Internet, including Sara Tasker, Fiona Tucker and Sarah Ferguson.

Lucy’s also created Podmas! 12 days of consecutive podcasts, mostly solo episodes where we get to hear her insightful, uncut rambles. I love the format and she’s giving me serious inspiration to one day have a go myself.

Favourite episode: Episode 17 - My blogging journey (when the tables were turned and Sam Sparrow interviewed Lucy about her blogging journey)

The Heart of it

I’ve been a fan of Estee Lalonde since I read her book, Bloom, but I’ll be honest and say I was shocked at how good this podcast was. The production value, the topics… it’s all just so good. In The Heart of it, Estee covers such diverse and interesting topics, like tattoos, protesting and what it means to be strong.

Favourite episode: Episode 4 - Feminism

Courage and spice

I’m sure I’ve mentioned Sas Petherick here before, but if not, you must check her out immediately! She’s a coach, helping people overcome self-doubt and she is so full of wisdom. Courage and Spice is for ‘humans with self-doubt’ and there are so many useful and practical take-aways.

Favourite episode: Episode 13 - Healthy, kind boundaries for the holidays

Courage Makers

A podcast for “creative and passionate, mission-driven doers, makers and world-shakers”, I always feel so fired up after listening to an episode of Courage Makers. I must confess though this is a new podcast to me, so I’m only three episodes in… but so far I’m loving it!

Favourite episode so far: Episode 3 - Owning your superpower with Violeta Nedcova

The Creative Leap

Hosted by Cat Byrne, The Creative Leap is all about turning your hobbies into careers and crafting a life you love. I find it so interesting hearing the nitty gritty details of how people make that leap and it inspires me to push myself more when it comes to this blog and my career.

Favourite episode: Episode 6 - Jen Carrington, creative coach

So there we have it, a few more podcasts to add to your list. If you missed my previous podcast round-ups, you can find them here:
